Fenplast
The project
Fenplast, a leading Quebec-based manufacturer of high-end doors and windows, engaged Thirdbridge to complete the redesign of its extranet, a key tool in managing relationships with its retailers. Our team’s mission was to stabilize the existing architecture, modernize the interfaces, and ensure overall system consistency. We also finalized the implementation of a Payload-based CMS, providing full control over the creation and management of content, forms, documents, and access rights. The extranet now centralizes interactions between Fenplast’s teams and its retail partners, while ensuring secure, role-based access tailored to different profiles. This solution enables Fenplast to better support its partners and sustain its growth.
The challenges
The main challenge lay in taking over a partially functional system, marked by legacy logic and complex dependencies that were limiting its evolution. We had to thoroughly clean up the code, clarify the relationships between the various modules — CMS, dashboards, user management — and ensure compatibility with existing components. Migrating to the new platform was also a major challenge: it was crucial to ensure a smooth transition without disrupting retailer operations or compromising service quality. This work required close collaboration with Fenplast’s teams to coordinate each stage and maximize adoption of the new solution from day one.
An extranet built for evolution
Deploying a flexible CMS with customizable views was essential to ensure the project met Fenplast’s needs. Each retailer now benefits from an interface tailored to their identity, with dedicated configurations (logo, colors, documents, services). This approach avoids duplicating structures and simplifies the integration of new partners without the need for heavy technical intervention. This modernized software architecture enables Fenplast to confidently scale its platform toward a more ambitious multi-entity model. To support this dynamic, user testing is planned to identify new areas for improvement and continuously optimize the user experience. This approach helps enhance the extranet’s added value and support Fenplast’s growth.
