The project
The DuProprio team approached us to work on the redesign and improvement of a mobile application used by their representatives responsible for taking photos of properties for sale. After migrating the originali mobile application developed using Xamarin to native iOS, our team was able to focus on the client's top priorities, namely improving the user interface and experience, as well as automating the HDR (high dynamic range) processing of photos.
The challenges
Since our team is mainly composed of developers, the photography knowledge needed to complete this project was not our strong suit. It was only after many hours of research and reading that we familiarized ourselves with concepts such as histograms and saturation to develop an efficient algorithm that automatically analyzes and processes images’ pixels to optimize its lighting.

Image Recognition
One of the most interesting features of this project is image recognition. In order to promote the houses on sale, DuProprio representatives have to publish the most aesthetic images possible. The application had to allow them to easily and quickly optimize certain elements such as the sky in exterior photos. Our team focused on integrating an artificial intelligence model capable of detecting the region occupied by the sky in the image and replacing it with a beautiful sunny blue sky.
