The project

At Thirdbridge, we’re lucky to have a lasting relationship with one of our very first clients; Couche-Tard. Their vision of a smart store involves a powerful mobile app, full of must-have features, couponing, and profile management, as well as great innovations such as the carwash and Couche-Tard Connecté experiences.

The challenges

It’s a complex software system that supports Couche-Tard’s mobile app and vast user base. For Thirdbridge, it represents an excellent exercise in architecture, design, maintenance and monitoring. The team responsible for this system follows a rigorous methodology that ensures stability, productivity and proactivity. Expectations are high, and so are the stakes but it is always a pleasure to work on such an ambitious project.

Couche-Tard Connecté

The Couche-Tard Connecté experience is all about ease and convenience. It is a self-service store with no cashier where products are under high surveillance. One enters using a QR code provided by the mobile app and then picks up chips, sandwiches, coffee or any other product available in-store and then can simply walk out. Within minutes, the data registered by thousands of sensors and cameras is processed by an AI which takes care of producing the receipt.
