The project
Doctors behind Prélib dreamed of a clinic almost entirely managed using technology to anonymize the process of preventive STBBIs screening. Decrease the discomfort of patients who wish to do a screening by reducing human interactions to a minimum and therefore increasing and facilitating the prevention of STBBIs. From the opening of a medical file, to the medical evaluation, to the self-screening, the patient is guided through each step of the process as independently as possible.
The challenges
Conceptualizing the systems that would support this innovative clinic put our expertise to the test. A public Web platform for patients, iPad applications for on premises clients and a Web platform reserved for internal use by Prélib staff members, allowing them to manage and deliver test results. All modules have been designed to simplify the customer experience while almost completely eliminating human intervention.

Patients reception is done using an iPad and a wifi connected lock. They are greeted by an iPad application which asks for their health insurance number. This allows the system to identify the patients and validate that they have an appointment at that time.
An additional mechanism allows to manually unlock the door via the staff-facing Web platform and we are currently working on a new mechanism which will allow patients to gain access to the clinic using only their mobile device without ever touching the iPad.
